Little Turkey Gully

This updated vernacular style house was built on the edge of a quiet tributary to White Oak Bayou. Although hidden, the edges of the creek and property were chockfull of trash, debris and non-native flora. The owners presented conceptual ideas and goals that would reinstate the native flora on the property and along the creek, create a house open to that natural habitat while presenting a traditional frontage to the street. With Nancy Ganucheau of That’s Architecture as the lead architect , the 4600 square foot house was designed and completed in 2005.
